The Rent-A-Rower program has been an integral part of the Ohio State University Crew Club since its inception in 1978. To this date, it remains the team’s main fundraiser, and provides the valuable funds that allow us to purchase new equipment, pay for coaching, and travel for races. The Rent-A-Rower program is a business operated and maintained by members of the OSU Crew Club. As such, orders requested with short notice may not be processed in time so please be sure to order your Rent-A-Rower about a week in advance.

Customers may call and “rent” our rowers to complete tasks around the house such as mulching, raking, weeding,  painting, moving furniture, digging, or any other chores that you don’t want to do.  However, due to the competitive nature of the club there are a few activities that rowers are not allowed to perform such as climbing onto a tree or second story roof or anything that involves open flame. Rowers are available for four-hour blocks of time on weekends during the school year or hourly any day of the week during the summer.
