Director of Rowing – Women’s Head Coach – Katie Salvator

Katie Salvator- Director of Rowing, Women’s Head Coach
Coach Salvator is in her third year coaching the women of Ohio State Crew. She began her coaching career here in 2009 coaching the Novice Women. In May 2010 she took over as Women’s Head Coach and was made Director of Rowing in August 2011. In 2011, the Women’s 2V8 received a bronze medal at ACRA.
Salvator spent 4 years as a member of the OSU Crew Club during which she was Vice President of Logistics for one year and Regatta Director for two. As a lightweight rower for the team, she won an ECAC Gold medal, a Dad Vail Silver medal and was in the lightweight eight that placed 6th at IRA in 2005 and raced again in 2006. Before coming to coach at Ohio State, Coach Salvator spent a year teaching Master’s Women and breast cancer survivors to row in Westerville. During her first year coaching at Ohio State, Coach Salvator (Coach Sal) completed her Level II USRowing Certification.
Coach Sal is very excited about the future of Ohio State Crew and is looking forward to playing a role in the success of the program.
